USDA announces second round of habitat restoration projects under new CRP practice
Agriculture Secretary Ed Schafer announced Thursday that USDA has approved the second round of conservation projects under the new Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) practice titled "State Acres For wildlife Enhancement," or SAFE. 30 SAFE projects were unveiled that will benefit threatened, endangered and other high-priority species in 16 states covering up to 160,100 acres. more

The episode airing the week of  Feb. 26-March 2 will feature highlights from USDA Ed Schafer's address to cattlemen at the NCBA's 2008 Cattle Industry Annual Convention and Trade Show. Also included in the show will be specific tips for cattlemen about how to properly plan your estate and a continuation on the series on artificial insemination, with a demonstration on how to properly handle bull semen. Wrapping up the show will be a highlight of the winner of this year's Environmental Stewardship Awards Program, the Yolo Land and Cattle Co., from Arizona.

NCBA's Cattlemen to Cattlemen on RFD-TV provides weekly news and features for cattle producers across the country.
