Cattle Raisers offer free legal update
FORT WORTH, Texas, December 27, 2005—A free legal
seminar will be held Sunday, March 26, 2006, in conjunction with Texas
and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association’s 129th annual convention
in San Antonio.
Attorneys from Jackson Walker, LLP will provide a valuable
opportunity to learn about laws that affect rural landowners and
agriculture operations. Application for CLE credit is pending.
The agenda includes legal updates relating to water law; estate
planning for ranchers; employment issues, how the Supreme Court Decision
on school funding will affect farmers and ranchers, eminent
domain—taking private property for economic development purposes, risk
management and insurance issues for the cattle raiser.
